Inauguriamo oggi un nuovo tipo di format, che vorrei (almeno provare) portare una volta al mese.(magari...)
5 STABS WITH!
Come scrissi in un'altra occasione, "Seek and..."
PARTIAMO!!!
As a first episode, I obviously chose one of my best friends, as well as the oldest heheheheh
MARCO VITALI.
Now, to draw up his bio it would take the duration of the "Lord of the Rings" and "The Ten Commandments" put together ... suffice it to say extraordinaire guitarist, who has been a pillar of the mighty Ibridoma (my brothers) for years, teacher, YouTuber, manager, promoter ... I think he just misses being part of the Marvel universe ...
Let's see what it has to tell us!
1-Let's start from your series on Youtube called Classic Reloaded, with which I had the pleasure and honor of curating several episodes.
How did the idea come about?
And what goals do you set yourself?
Show us your vision of the project.
MV-Many years ago with my CONCEPT PROJECT we made a version of Mozart's Turkish March. The song had success beyond expectations and from there I thought of making a series of mostly classic songs revisited in a Rock-Metal key. Now I have reached 65 re-interpretations. My goal is to reach 100 by the end of the year. Of all the songs there is also a backing track version on which you can play. Last year an educational book was also released which collects some transcriptions:
2-Bastard question, but coming to me you had to wait for it: we will never have a new Antagonism work?
MV-Unfortunately, the Antagonism project is currently on standby. We have had some line-up changes over the years in terms of singers and drummers. I take this opportunity to mention my friend Luca Bartolini who was with us at the beginning and who unfortunately passed away recently. A great person as well as an exceptional drummer. I'll tell you, the songs would also be there for a new mini or split. Who knows maybe with the right stimulus and a round of phone calls I don't rule out a return to the scene.
3-This closely follows the other, but let's dig deeper: will we ever have a Cancrena reunion?
What can you tell us about the historic "In the Flesh"?
Give us some anecdotes, even funny ones, about that record!
MV-Damn here we go back to when I was a kid. I played with Cancrena until 2001/2002. I started with them not yet of age. I don't think there will ever be a reunion. Geographically we are now very far away. The other guitarist Fabio Pie 'is in Prague, the drummer in Teramo, the singer and I are still in the area (Macerata) and we haven't had any contact with the bass player for years.
However, the last decision is not up to me because I am not one of the founding members of the band.
There would be several funny anecdotes but I don't think I can talk about them so freely. At the time we say that we were quite undisciplined. A nice and ingenious thing that I remember with pleasure happened during the recording of the Black Cat Dies video. We were shooting it in the countryside in front of our pit room at the time. However, we did not find the right setting and in the end, our video maker had a light and put a green filter. The result was a low-budget video, in my opinion fantastic, in Green and Black. A green screen in its infancy. Here is the result:

4-Let's talk now instead of your wide-ranging record releases: what do you have on the launch pad?
We want the details!
MV-I have been working for some time now on a new mini for the CONCEPT PROJECT project which I hope to release by 2022. This would be the third studio work. I send it back all the time because I always have a thousand things going on and being a parallel project, in the end, the latter loses.
However, in the middle of the year, the new IBRIDOMA album will see the light, but I still can't anticipate the title. I can say that some songs were composed with 7 strings and therefore some pieces will have a more aggressive sound.
5-Let's close with the didactic side: have you ever thought of creating your own "channel" where you can produce even advanced teaching contents?
We know you have a 360-degree culture.
You also played in big bands (I remember a live album of yours with the Soul Finger Green Orchestra...) ... so, how about creating content advanced harmony, phrasing ... in short, you would have very little stuff to teach!
Update us!
MV-This is a great idea. At the moment I am working in collaboration with the Easy Chitarra site with which I have published several courses. One of guitar technique will be released very soon and one of electric bass later. As soon as I conclude the classic reloaded series with which I aim to reach 100 reinterpretations as mentioned, I will start thinking about a new possible format. For now, I prefer not to put too much meat on the fire.
I take this opportunity to thank you for the space and invite you to visit my channel:
