Nuova puntata di “5 Stabs with...” in compagnia di una mia carissima conoscenza, un giovanissimo, di quelli che scardinano l'idea comune che “i giovani non fanno niente” ed altre castronerie del genere.
Parliamo con Alessandro Fausti, personaggio singolare, 666% attitudine, zero chiacchiere.
Impegnato sul versante più moderno del Metal, nasconde una subcultura di estremismo sonoro invidiabile, molto più di alcuni “personaggetti” di ben poca sostanza che infestano il territorio...
Una miscela detonante di influenze, misto ad una determinazione ed ad un impegno TOTALE nella sua Arte, ne fanno una “new sensation” da tenere ben d'occhio!!!
UZ- Allora Alessandro, andiamoci subito pesante: come vivi la scena Italiana?
Hai girato già un bel po', cosa proprio non funziona e cosa vorresti che si faccia?
AF- Ciao Ulag!!! Innanzitutto voglio ringraziarti per questa opportunità e dirti che è un onore e un piacere per me essere qui con te a chiacchierare e perché no anche a stuzzicare un po’ la curiosità e il piacere dei fan del metal. Detto ciò voglio essere sincero al 100% : vivo la scena musicale italiana specialmente metal e alternative con amore e odio e specifico amore soprattutto per la scena metal pesante e odio per una parte di quella alternativa. Amore per la scena metal perché mi ha accolto sin dal primo momento, mi sono sentito subito come uno di famiglia ad esempio ricordo il primo giorno che ci siamo incontrati io e te in quella serata con io che avevo in spalla il basso e l’ampli dall’altra parte e ci siamo messi a chiacchierare della roba più pesante possibile e il tutto poi è sfociato in una grande amicizia e ne sono stato felicissimo. Passiamo ora alle note dolenti e riguarda soprattutto la scena alternative: odio perché avendo fatto parte della scena e anche di scene più grosse in Italia ti dico che c’è un grosso opportunismo ti dico e quelli che sono puri di cuore di solito vengono dal metal più Trve e dall’underground e sanno cosa vuol dire sudare e sputare sangue ma per il resto ho visto solo molta disonestà e opportunismo. Ne approfitto comunque per dire che in questa marmaglia si distingue un gruppo composto dal mio amico e collega Blastphemian, Daniele Montesi, Danny Metal e Rock for Rookies che si stanno prodigando per unire sempre più la scena anche grazie al loro evento Chainsaw Nite che porta tutta la musica alternative all’unisono dal metal più puro fino ad arrivare a Drill e Phonk, perciò se siete di Milano e dintorni non perdetevi i loro show che valgono decisamente.
UZ- Tu sei uno che studia davvero molto, che sia canto, recording o strumento...mai pensato di fare qualche audizione per una band di grosso calibro?
AF- Si ci ho pensato moltissime volte onestamente ma il problema è che ti porteresti sulle spalle una grossa responsabilità perché di solito andresti a sostituire qualcuno e purtroppo o per fortuna il pubblico è molto esigente e non sarai mai al livello dell’ artista che vai a sostituire o comunque non ci sarebbe una via di mezzo “o piaci o non piaci” detto ciò adorerei essere una seconda voce per i Linkin park magari ( scoppia a ridere 🤣) lo so sarebbe una responsabilità assurda ma fare quegli scream onestamente mi riesce molto bene e quindi perché no?
UZ- Domanda inevitabile: perché stai perdendo ancora tempo qui in Italia, invece di trasferirti in luoghi più consoni?
Nessuno ragala nulla da nessuna parte, ma spesso una figura come la tua potrebbe essere una chiave di volta per molti progetti...
AF- Ammetto di averci pensato spesso e ultimamente devo dire che ci sto pensando più seriamente di prima, un po’per studiare e un po’ per una vita migliore o quantomeno con più opportunità e soprattutto una mentalità più aperta, purtroppo l’Italia non è un paese per i giovani né per idee fresche e giovanili ma un paese per tirare alla giornata, parlare del calcio (non che ci sia qualcosa di sbagliato anzi sono un grande tifoso dei diavoli rossoneri) e fare famiglia e per carità ci sta ma io voglio sia questo che molto di più.
UZ- Quanto è importante per te la veste grafica di un tuo lavoro?
E la parte video?
AF- Ammetto che su questo sono un pochettino controcorrente o meglio adoro posare sia chiaro, fare foto e stare davanti alla videocamera però adoro molto di più la composizione musicale, mi piace dare sfogo alle mie emozioni tramite la composizione e la creazione di nuovi tones poi ovvio se tutto ciò viene ricreato in maniera fedele tramite video e grafiche ben venga; ora dico questo perché avendo avuto brutte esperienze in passato in ambito video ti dico che non sempre ti fanno dare libero sfogo alla tua creatività, soprattutto dalla parte di YouTube cioè devi stare super attento a non strafare col sangue finto o con la “nudità” e mi fa ridere perché cazzo vedi una fetta di pancia e me lo bolli come porno come se YouTube fosse visto solo da poppanti, cioè a questo punto mi apro onlyfans ( ride istericamente 🤣😅).
UZ- Domanda finale: a quanto un album, totale, tipo un 10 pezzi, in fisico e digitale?
Insomma una release completa?
AF- Purtroppo non posso dare date finali poiché la stesura di una canzone, il mix e il master non vogliono fretta ma hanno bisogno di essere curati in maniera quasi maniacale però posso dire che sta per uscire un mio nuovo pezzo e il primo del mio nuovo progetto solista ( distribuito tramite Earache Digital Distribution e lo dico con orgoglio hehehe) e sarà un compendio di tutto ciò che adoro della musica heavy e per ora ciò che è più probabile è un EP di circa 5 canzoni, inoltre sto lavorando a vari progetti con altri artisti musicali e non perciò ci sarà davvero da divertirsi e non vedo l’ora di farvi scoprire tutto all 100%

New episode of "5 Stabs with..." in the company of a very dear acquaintance of mine, a very young man, one of those who undermine the common idea that "young people do nothing" and other nonsense of the kind.
We talk to Alessandro Fausti, a singular character, 666% aptitude, and zero talks.
Engaged on the more modern side of Metal, he hides an enviable subculture of sound extremism, much more than some "little characters" of very little substance that infest the territory ...

UZ- So Alessandro, let's go hard right away: how do you feel on the Italian scene?
You've already toured quite a bit, what just doesn't work and what would you like to do?
AF- Hello Ulag!!! First of all I want to thank you for this opportunity and tell you that it is an honor and a pleasure for me to be here with you to chat and why not also to tease the curiosity and pleasure of metal fans a little. Having said that I want to be 100% sincere: I live the Italian music scene especially metal and alternative with love and hate and specific love, especially for the heavy metal scene and hate for a part of the alternative one. Love for the metal scene because it welcomed me from the first moment, I immediately felt like one of the family, for example, I remember the first day you and I met on that evening with me having the bass and the amp on my shoulder on the other side and we started chatting about the heaviest stuff possible and it all resulted in a great friendship and I was very happy about it. Now let's move on to the painful notes and above all, it concerns the alternative scene: I hate it because having been part of the scene and also of bigger scenes in Italy I tell you that there is big opportunism I tell you and those who are pure in the heart usually come from metal more Trve and from the underground and they know what it's like to sweat and spit blood but otherwise I just saw a lot of dishonesty and opportunism. However, I take the opportunity to say that in this rabble a group stands out made up of my friend and colleague Blastphemian, Daniele Montesi, Danny Metal, and Rock for Rookies who are doing their utmost to unite the scene more and more thanks to their event Chainsaw Nite which brings all alternative music in unison from the purest metal up to Drill and Phonk, so if you're from Milan and its surroundings, don't miss their shows that are definitely worth it.
UZ- You're someone who really studies a lot, whether it's singing, recording, or an instrument... ever thought of auditioning for a big caliber band?
AF- Yes, I've honestly thought about it many times but the problem is that you would shoulder a huge responsibility because usually, you would be replacing someone and unfortunately or fortunately the public is very demanding and you will never be at the level of the artist you go to replace or in any case, there wouldn't be a middle ground "either you like it or you don't like it" having said that I would love to be a second voice for Linkin park maybe (bursts out laughing 🤣) I know it would be an absurd responsibility but honestly doing those screams I'm very good at and so why not?
UZ- Unavoidable question: why are you still wasting time here in Italy, instead of moving to more suitable places?
No one offers anything anywhere, but often a figure like yours could be a keystone for many projects...
AF- I admit that I have often thought about it and lately I have to say that I am thinking about it more seriously than before, partly to study and partly for a better life or at least with more opportunities and above all a more open mentality, unfortunately, Italy does not it's a country for young people or for fresh and youthful ideas but a country to get through the day, talk about football (not that there's anything wrong on the contrary I'm a big fan of the "Rossoneri" devils) and make a family and for heaven's sake it's there but I I want both this and so much more.
UZ- How important is the graphic design of your work to you?
And the video part?
AF- I admit that on this I'm a little against the tide or rather I love to pose clearly, take pictures and stand in front of the video camera but I love musical composition much more, I like to give vent to my emotions through composition and the creation of new tones then obviously if all this is faithfully recreated through videos and graphics it is welcome; now I say this because having had bad experiences in the past in the video field I tell you that they don't always allow you to give free rein to your creativity, especially on the YouTube side, that is, you have to be super careful not to overdo it with fake blood or with "nudity" and it makes me laugh because the fuck you see a slice of belly and you brand it as porn as if YouTube was only seen by babies, that is, at this point, I open Onlyfans (laughs hysterically 🤣😅).
UZ- Final question: how much is an album, total, like a 10-piece, physical and digital?
In short, a complete release?
AF- Unfortunately I can't give final dates because the drafting of a song, the mix, and the master doesn't want to rush but they need to be treated in an almost obsessive way, however, I can say that a new piece of mine is about to come out and the first of my new one solo project (released through Earache Digital Distribution and I say that with pride hehehe) and it will be a compendium of everything I love about heavy music and for now what is most likely an EP of about 5 songs, also I'm working on various projects with other musical artists and not so there will be really fun and I can't wait to let you discover everything 100%
